Deadly blast kills 3 soldiers near Somali capital Mogadishu

At least three government soldiers have been killed and 5 others injured on board in a roadside bomb explosion near the Somali capital Mogadishu.

The explosion targeted a military vehicle carrying soldiers in Garasbaley area near the capital, leaving 3 soldiers dead, a witness said.

He says 5 other soldiers were also injured in the blast.

He added the Somali military forces sealed off the scene of the explosion.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for Saturday’s bomb attack.

But, such attacks are often carried out by al Qaeda linked al Shabaab.

The group has carried out similar attacks in the capital for the last couple of months.

The al Qaeda linked group also wants to topple the weak-western backed government of Somalia.
